My 10-year-old daughter would "only" read the Harry Potter series once she got hooked two years ago. Just reads it over and over again and watches the movies and listens to the audio books (I know...I did buy them all for her....but all for different purposes over time!!! And I love them too. But I read other stuff). She still picks up the the occasional Diary of a Wimpy Kid and such. She's resistant to trying new books and doesn't read more than a few pages before she decides she doesn't like things. Point? She's stuck with this one. She's even mentioned it once or twice in passing. So I call that a win!

Bought for my granddaughter for Christmas. She loved the book.
Loved it! funny and full of the drama I experience.
I gave this book to my granddaughter for her 11th birthday and she loved it. Wish they had this series for grandmas.....74,75,etc.
This book is great! In this book you can obviously see Winnie growing up, and is perfect for 10 and 11 year olds. Im ten, and I read it and loved it! 😁
I bought my 10 year old daughter the first book in this series (Ten) for Christmas, but ended up giving it to her early because she was home sick and wanted to just stay in bed. She devoured the book that day and started asking for "Eleven" the next day. She has since read the next in the series and is asking for Thirteen now.

I think she feels like she can relate to the character. It's very age appropriate, with age appropriate situations and feelings and point of views.

I would absolutely recommend this series to anyone thinking of purchasing it for their young lady.
Great book! My daughter just turned eleven. The story really captures milestones of eleven year old!!
This book was great. I loved how Winnie was an eleven year old like me and had friendship drama and boy drama. I absolutely adored the parts about the dentist office, the raw egg, the curling iron burn, her stiff neck, the jellyfish, and much more. Winnie's personality is just hilarious and I cracked up multiple times. I'm glad she becomes friends with Dinah but I wish she would of worked things out with Amanda and her other friends. I'm proud of Winnie for standing up the Gail, (such an odd name,) and I'm glad she gets along with her sister Sandra in the end. The only thing that bothered me were the words, like oh my g** and so on.
I can't wait to finish reading Twelve, the next book, and see at happens to Winnie and her elbow boobs! ;)
